The problem
A busy service club ran membership, events and reporting across spreadsheets and chat. It needed one system: a public site that gets indexed, a member portal, and admin tooling for the board.
What we did
Payload CMS with hand-written, expand-and-contract migrations against Postgres. A full membership lifecycle with a Kanban board and identity matching. Member portal with magic-link login, profile, membership status and certificates. Events with RSVP, capacity limits and QR check-in. Position-based permissions so each role sees exactly what it should. Search Console and sitemap fixes to get the blog indexed.
What changed
- Member portal with login, certificates and bulk certificate issue.
- Event RSVP and check-in used at real events.
- Role-scoped admin with per-position permission templates.
- Blog indexed after sitemap submission.
